• 14th Annual POPA Convention  At the annual Pilatus Owners and Pilots Association Convention, owners, pilots, Pilatus representatives from Switzerland and Denver, service centers and vendors will gather to discuss PC-12 operations. A vendor display area is available for PC-12 aviation-related services and products. The convention is an event that provides the opportunity for suppliers, owners and pilots to mix business and pleasure with lectures, Q&A sessions, demonstrations, great meals and evening entertainment.  Aircraft will fly into Richard L. • Heart of Scotland Airshow 2010  The aim of this event is to Celebrate some of the many aviation anniversaries happening in 2010: the 100th Anniversary of the first Scottish International Flight Meeting staged at Lanark in 1910, the 800th Anniversary of the Royal Burgh of Perth, 70th Anniversary of The Battle of Britain, 75th Anniversary of AST Aviation Training, 50 years of AST Operations at Perth Airport.  The event also aims to raise money for some worthy local and National charities and have a great weekend of aviation from the past, the present and hopefully International too.  Perth Airport, June 5-6, 2010.

• Operating Helicopters Safely in a Degraded Visual Environment  The Degraded Visual Environment (DVE) poses a substantial threat to the whole spectrum of helicopter operations. The impact of dusk, night and dawn light levels, low cloud, mist and fog, together with falling and recirculating sand and snow has always eroded operating safety margins. • Taking Human Factors and Safety management into the next Decade  This Conference re-establishes the UK involvement with the Federal Aviation Administration and Transport Canada in maintenance human factors symposiums which it was initially party to in the late 90s and up until 2003. • Flights of Our Fathers Fly-In  The No. 1 British Flying Training School Museum is hosting a Dinner-Dance and the City of Terrell is hosting a Fly-In to honor the British pilots who trained there and the American officers and civilian staff who assisted with that training.  The airport and museum grounds will open at 6pm on Friday for a dinner and dance and variety show performance. Tickets are $35.  Saturday’s event will start with a pancake breakfast at 7:30am hosted by the Civil Air Patrol’s Black Sheep Squadron, and host other food, memorabilia, and craft booths.  There will be a Scale Model Remote Control aircraft flying show, skydiving demonstration, flight simulators and much more.  Vintage air craft and antique military vehicles will be on display. Event plans call for a Color Guard Saturday at noon, with demonstrations by helicopter medical evacuation units, experimental aircraft, and others. • Lincoln Air Show  The excitement is heard and seen from miles around as world class performers enhance this event. • Handley Page Limited: Celebrating the Centenary of the First British Aircraft Company  Handley Page Ltd. was formed as a private Company on 17th June 1909, and became a Public Company on 20th January 1919. Sir Frederick Handley Page was Managing Director until his death in 1962. He helped guide the Royal Aeronautical Society towards its current form in 1911 and virtually rescued it from insolvency after WW2 (it was said). He valued education for engineers; the Company's Apprentice Scheme was one of the best in Industry. He taught at Northampton Engineering Institute (now City University) in 1910, and was a Founder Member of the College of Aeronautics, and Chairman of its Board until his death. Handley Page also had a strong commitment to research. His "Auto-Slot," patented in 1919, was on every RAF aircraft from 1928 until the start of the War. In the 1950s and 1960s, HP was probably the foremost company in Europe in laminar flow for low drag. On the characteristics of slender delta wings, the well-behaved HP 115 low speed research aircraft gave confidence that "Concorde" would not be critical at low speed. The outstanding HP product after the War was the "Victor" V-bomber. The aerodynamic design of the wing to achieve acceptable low-speed handling and a critical Mach No. of 0.875, and the advanced structural design, were state of the art. It was a successful aircraft as nuclear bomber and air-to-air tanker, in RAF service for over 30 years. • Narromine Air Pageant & Evolution of Flight Festival  Celebrate the evolution of aviation with a spectacular Air Show and vibrant community Festival.  There will be aerial demonstrations, joy flights, commercial trade exhibits, and many aircraft on display, including a Wright Flyer replica.  Friday 28 - Sunday 30 September 2007, Narromine, New South Wales.  Narromine is home to the oldest Aero Club in regional Australia.  The aerodrome accommodates the Aviation Museum, various gliding and flying schools and clubs, as well as an array of aviation related businesses.

• London Balloon Festival  The website for London's original hot air balloon festival.  Held in Harris Park, downtown London, Ontario, Canada.  The Festival was founded in 1984 and features 25 balloons and special shapes, hot air balloon rides, a selection of food and craft vendors, four days of live evening concerts, the Balloon Festival Midway, balloon glows, and much more.  Admission is free for spectators (charge only for the "front of the stage licensed areas.")  August 2nd - 6th, 2007.
