Max Flight
Max Flight spent 35 years in the aviation industry with a jet engine OEM. His online aviation content started in 1996 with the Thirty Thousand Feet Aviation Directory at a time when it was hard to find aviation resources online. What started as a single, short web page grew into a massive website with over 20,000 curated links to commercial, military, and general aviation resources. The Directory served its purpose and is now gone. These days, Max focuses his online activity on aviation podcast production.
Aviation Podcasts
Max co-founded the Airplane Geeks podcast in 2008 with Courtney Miller. Still produced, that weekly podcast has grown to become one of the premier aviation podcasts.
From 2013 to 2021, Max co-hosted the #PaxEx Podcast with airline passenger experience industry expert Mary Kirby. That show is part of Mary’s Runway Girl Network, an excellent source for airline news and current topics.
Max co-produced The UAV Digest with David Vanderhoof from 2013 to 2023. Covering unmanned aerial vehicles and systems, the podcast was revived by David and Max Trescott in 2025 and renamed UAV News Talk.
